Turning Your Home or Office into a Network with a Wireless Printer Adapter

Wireless is here to stay and you can either get on board with it or let the world pass you by. If you insist on keeping your older equipment, you can still enjoy the benefits of this new technology with a wireless printer adapter that will turn your office or home into its own little network. For less than $200, your old printer will suddenly get a visit to the Fountain of Youth.

Saving money at home or for a small business is a priority. However, growing is also part of both of those environments. You may start out as a young couple, but kids will eventually come into the picture and with that comes school work and today, more computers floating around the house. Small business can be the same. You start out in your home office and business grows so you have to get a bigger space. You take all of your equipment with you to start off with and one employee quickly turns into 5. Well all of these people have to print on something, so what are you to do?

You can either supply everyone with their own printer, outfit the home or office with a new wifi printer or you can use your old stuff and put an adapter on it that will turn it into wifi. If you are like most growing families and businesses, you are trying to hold onto every penny that you get, so a wireless printer adapter may be a better route to go.

If you are doing this in your house, you may be better off using a less expensive USB port wireless adapter. You can usually get a very good one for under $50 and it will more than serve its purpose. Anyone that is tapped into your wireless network in the house will be able to use it and you of course will still only need one printer.

If you are using this for an office, you have several options to explore. In addition to some upgraded adapters, you may also want to consider Bluetooth wireless printer adapters. We say this because just about everyone has a Blackberry these days. The reason that they have them is for ease of emailing right off of your hip. If you use Bluetooth technology, they can also print documents to your network right off of their phone when they are connected.

This may not sound like such a big deal until you are in a meeting and someone gets an email that could be of interest to everyone. Instead of them having to get to their office to open up their email, they can merely send it directly to the printer and have it on the table in seconds. Time is money!

There is no reason that you cannot turn your home or office into its own small network with wireless printer adapters. They are cost effective in that you are able to keep the same equipment that you have and get all of the advantages of a wifi printer for a fraction of the costs. Don’t spend money you don’t have to. Get a wireless adapter and move into modern times with older equipment.
